What we do

Workforce Development Training

We work with management to determine the training needs of the organisation and of the individual employees. From this information we propose the range of courses to be included in a workforce development programme for the organisation.

We then implement the programme, by preparing work material, assigning staff and then providing any language and technical assistance required for the completion of the courses.

At Oracle Training, our workforce training programmes are designed round the needs of both your individual employees and your organisation. These requirements are determined through discussion and appropriate analysis. We provide the following services:

Organisational Training Needs Analysis
To assess training needs within your organisation, our experience staff will conduct an in depth review of your organisation's operational activities and performance with the relevant managers.

The requirements for assessment and development are formulated into a plan and proposals presented to management. The individuals proposed to be involved in any development programme are then involved in discussion and initial assessments.

All our Assessors have already obtained or are working towards the Matrix Standard qualification for the provision of Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG). This standard is recognised by the LSC as being the desirable target for providing support for learners. This ensures the every learner develops an action plan for ongoing training and is given appropriate advice and support throughout the training programme.

Training in the workplace
To reduce training costs and time lost through travelling, we undertake the bulk of our training and assessment work at the learners' workplace. This provides the most comfortable and accepted learning environment for adult workers and enables us to see and assist them in the performance of their work and the development of their roles.

Improving technical performance
Whenever we are delivering a nationally accredited NVQ course, we provide specific additional training selected to match the needs of both the organisation and the learner. This is targeted at developing the knowledge and/or skills of the learner. This further training can be technical, operational or a personal or managerial skill.

Oracle's trainers have solid practical knowledge of industry which enable us to assist in the selection and application of relevant business improvement and lean manufacturing techniques (BIT) within an organisation. This ensures practical solutions and successful implementation of improvement measures.

Bespoke Training
In addition to delivering nationally accredited workforce development courses, we run bespoke training events, developed to meet the needs of individuals as well as organisation.

Improving operational performance
Our key activity of workforce development is designed to assist in enhancing operational performance by producing:

A benchmark of competence

Practical ideas for operational improvements

Reduced accident rates and staff turnover

Increased productivity, skill levels and attention to quality, improved workforce morale, communications and time-keeping.

In most cases, the development work takes place at the place of work and not at a remote, classroom location.

Establishing effectiveness of the workforce
By undertaking NVQ assessments across the workforce, their capability to work to operational procedures and nationally accepted standards is confirmed and reinvigorated. Under this programme, any shortfalls in performance or capability are highlighted and can be addressed. This provides the first step in developing the potential of each individual.

Health and safety audits
Our qualified staff are available to undertake extensive audits of health and safety practice within the workplace..

Complying with legal requirements
With statutory requirements for manufacturers and employers increasing throughout the year, it is difficult for organisations to keep up with the legislative requirements without employing or retaining a full time expert. To overcome this on-cost, we have produced a range of short courses which address the individual legislative concerns.
